How we handle affiliate links

Current status

There are no affiliate links on this site today. The machinery to add them exists and is turned off; when the first one goes live, this page updates and the link itself is labelled where it appears. We would rather tell you the mechanism is here and dormant than have it appear one day with no explanation.

What an affiliate link is

• An affiliate link points to another company's product — for example, a cloud accounting tool. If you follow it and sign up, we may receive a commission from that company.
• It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you reach them through us or directly.
• A commission is never a reason we would tell you that you need a paid tool. This generator stays free, and most small invoicing jobs do not need anything more than it.

How we label them

• Every paid link is marked as an ad, next to the link itself — not hidden in a footer disclaimer. You should be able to tell a paid recommendation from an ordinary one at the point you decide whether to click.
• Paid outbound links carry the standard rel="sponsored" marker so search engines and browsers can identify them too.
• Affiliate links only ever appear on content pages (the homepage, country pages, and guides). They never appear inside the invoice editor and never on trust or legal pages, including this one.

What does not change

Affiliate links are ordinary web links. Following one is your choice, and until you do, nothing about how your invoices work is affected:

• Your invoice data is stored on your device by default, the same as always.
• No affiliate link adds an advertising script, a tracker, or a consent pop-up to this site. There is nothing new to accept.
• The editor stays ad-free and recommendation-free by design.

Our honesty commitment

The tools most worth recommending — cloud accounting platforms — are ones where your data does leave your device to live on their servers. That is a real trade-off, and we will describe it as one: a "when you outgrow doing this by hand, here is a sensible next step" suggestion, written the same careful way as every other claim on this site, not a hard sell.
