Your data stays in your browser

simpletaxinvoice is a client-side tool. There is no account and no server database for your invoices — the app runs in your browser and stores your data on your own device.

What we store, and where

• Your businesses, clients, invoices, tax rates and logo are saved in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB), on the device you use.
• We do not receive, transmit or hold your invoice data on any server. Clearing your browser data removes it — so keep a backup.

Leaving your device

• Export/Import: you can download a JSON backup of your data. That file is created locally and only leaves your device if you save or share it.
• Optional cloud backup: if we add a "Back up to your own Google Drive" option, it is strictly opt-in, authorises only a simpletaxinvoice backup file in your Drive, and never grants us access to your Google account.
• PDF download: generated in your browser from your data.

Cookies & analytics

The invoice editor itself is ad-free and does not run third-party tracking. Content pages such as guides may, in future, show advertising; if and when they do, this page will be updated to describe any advertising cookies and your choices. No advertising or analytics runs on the pages where you enter business or client data.
