Terms of use
Plain-English terms
Using simpletaxinvoice.com means agreeing to these terms. They're short because the service is simple: software that runs in your browser, on your data, under your control.
The service
- SimpleTaxInvoice is free software delivered to your browser. It creates, stores and tracks invoice documents on your device.
- No operator server receives your invoice data. You control what you create, what it contains, and where you send it.
- The service is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent permitted by law. We work to keep it correct and available, but a free client-side tool cannot promise either.
Your responsibilities
- Your documents: the invoices you create, the details on them, and where you send them are yours and your responsibility — including how you handle your customers' personal information under the laws that apply to your business.
- Your tax obligations: you select the tax rate and treatment. The tool does the arithmetic and prints your selection — it is a calculator, not tax advice. Check current requirements with the ATO, HMRC or a professional for your situation.
- Your backups: data is stored in your browser on your device. Clearing your browser removes it. Keep backups — the tool makes that a one-click action and will remind you, but it cannot do it for you.
- Your devices: device security, browser-profile access and the safekeeping of downloaded backup files are yours to manage.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to create fraudulent or misleading documents, to impersonate others, or to break the law. Don't attempt to attack, overload or tamper with the site or other people's use of it.
Content and ownership
- Everything you create belongs to you. We claim no rights over your invoices, logos or business details — we never even receive them.
- The site's code, design and content are the operator's. The guides may be read and shared; they may not be scraped wholesale or republished as your own.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for losses arising from use of the service — including data loss on your device, documents you issue, or decisions you make based on the tool's output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
The service and these terms may change. Material changes to the terms will be dated on this page; continued use after a change means acceptance. This page was last updated on 19 July 2026.
